Jaisalmer city was founded by the descendant of Lord Krishna, Bhati Rajput ruler Rawal Jaisal. Its other name is the golden city of India. The city lies in the desert region. 2 . Gadisar Lake: one of the beautiful visiting places in Jaisalmer
Gadisar means fish lake. It’s a man-made reservoir. Rawal Jaisal constructed this water reservoir.In ancient times, this lake was a major source for the entire city. This Lake was constructed in 1400 AD.
Gadisar Lake, an artificial reservoir, was once the only source of water for Jaisalmer. Built by Jaisalmer’s first ruler, Raja Jaisal, it is surrounded by temples and ghats (banks). You can spend some quiet time in the tranquil surroundings of the lake or take a boat ride. The Lake is one beautiful tourist places in Jaisalmer.

3. Patwa haveli
It is a group of five Havelis. Guman Chand Patwa built this in 1805. This Haveli was constructed within 60 years. In this Haveli, you will see 60 balconies and pillars. It’s famous for architecture, miniature & balconies.
Patwon Ki Haveli is a huge complex. Looking around means walking a lot. So wear comfortable shoes and have a proper view of the Haveli Complex. Whether it’s summer or winter, it’s pretty sunny in the morning. Wear a hat and sunglasses to avoid discomfort. The Haveli Complex has steep stairs. The Place is one of best visiting places in Jaisalmer.

4. Salam Singh ki haveli
This Haveli is 300 years old. It was built in the 19th century. In this Haveli, you will see 38 carved balconies. You should visit this beautiful Haveli. It’s situated beside the hills near Jaisalmer fort. Also, This is famous for photography and architecture.This mansion was not created with the help of cement and mortar, the stones are connected by strong iron rods.

5. Nathmal ki haveli
This Haveli was also constructed in the 19th century. In this Haveli, you will see amazing paintings made using 1.5 Kilograms of gold leaf. It is famous for its miniature architecture. Also, there are two elephants made of yellow stone. Nathmal ki Haveli is one of the most beautiful havelis in Jaisalmer. If you visit Nathmal ki Haveli today, you will see two interesting architectural structures in this haveli. This makes Nathmal ki Haveli one of the main tourist landmarks of Jaisalmer.

6. Bada bagh temple: one of the best visiting places in Jaisalmer
The Place is located about 6 kilometers north of the city. Bada Bagh is a group of chhatri cenotaphs constructed by kings of the Jaisalmer state. Bada Bagh temple is also one of the best places in Jaisalmer. Bada Bagh is a beautiful garden known as the “Big Garden.” In this garden, you will see Royal Tombs. Many Bollywood movies are filmed here. Cameras are not allowed inside the garden. The finely carved cenotaphs and former rulers’ chapels are a special attraction of Bada Bagh. Pay particular attention to the carved pillars, beautifully carved chatris, inscriptions, and architecture of Bada Bagh.

7. The thar heritage museum
This Historical Museum preserves several historical folk arts. Also, there is a collection of artifacts from the life of people in the Thar desert. For preserving the Folk Heritage, this museum was awarded by the District Magistrate in 2006 and the Governor of Rajasthan in 2008. In this museum, you will see sea fossils, leather containers of ghee, coins, postcards, musical instruments, etc.

8 . Kuldhara village: one of the best-haunted places in Rajasthan
The village named kuldhara is popular as a haunted place. This is a very scary place. Kuldhara, a cursed village, is also famous as one of the most haunted places in India. Gradually, the village gained a reputation as a haunted house and attracted tourists. Locals in the area don’t believe in ghost stories, but they spread them to attract tourists.

9. SHANTINATH TEMPLE

Jain devotees and tourists visit this place throughout the year.The Shantinatha Temple is a Jain temple in the Jain temple complex in eastern Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh, India. Its main deity is the Jain Tirthankarasanthinata, but there are 18 shrines of him that enshrine numerous Jain images.
