1. MARINA BEACH

This sea extends for a distance of 13 kilometers, which is the longest natural urban beach in the country. It is the biggest tourist destination of Chennai which is most crowded beach in India with around 30,000 tourists. It’s also one of top places in Chennai to visit .

2. MG FILM CITY

This film city was established in the year of 1994 which is managed by the government of Tamil Nadu. Here MG Knowledge Park has been opened , which is also one of best attractions .

3. MARUNDESHWARAR TEMPLE

If you are travelling to Chennai then you must visit this temple. It has been a place of worship especially for people with disease and people suffering from various problems apart from their health. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Marundeshwarar or Aushadeshwarar who is worshiped as the God of Medicines. It is located in Thiruvanmiyur near Chennai.

4. KOLI HILLS

This mountain has religious significance not only for its natural beauty but also because of Arpapaleshwar Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is a major tourist destination of Chennai. The ‘Mountain Of Death’, Koli Hills is a mountain range located in the Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu.

5. ARIGNAR ANNA ZOOLOGICAL PARK

It is the largest zoo of its kind in Southeast Asia, spread over an area of 1260 acres. It is located at a distance of 32 kilometers from Chennai. This park is a favourite weekend spot for both kids and adults. It is a popular picnic spot in Chennai located in Vandalur in Kancheepuram district.

6. ASHTALAKSHMI TEMPLE

This temple is so special that about 7 million rupees were spent on its restoration and more than 1.6 crore rupees were spent on conducting religiously important Hindu ceremonies. Ashtalakshmi, the goddess of wealth and knowledge, resides in this temple. It is one of the religious places of Chennai located in Besant Nagar, a few meters from Besant beach on the shores of Bay of Bengal.

7. ISKCON TEMPLE

ISKCON is the main religious place of Chennai which includes the entire family of God including Radha Krishna and Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga. This temple was built on 1.5 acres of land and it is the largest Radha Krishna Temple in Tamil Nadu. It is located on the East coast road in southern Chennai. Must visit this Devine Temple.

8. VIVEKANANDA HOUSE

Must visit this place when you visit Chennai. It is also known as Ice House. It is a place of pilgrimage for the followers of Swami Vivekananda.

9. SANTHOME CATHEDRAL BASILICA

It is one of the major tourist attractions in the city of Chennai. People of Christian religion know to visit this place. It is located near Chennai Beach .it is a historical and ancient pilgrimage site and built in 14th to 15th century by Portuguese.

10. DAKSHINANCHAL MUSEUM

The museum was opened to the public on 14 December, 1996 and it is home to 4220 artifacts and 1,0000,000 paintings. It is one of the living history museums in India that collects great work of architecture, crafts, performing arts and lifestyle. .

You can visit this park with your family. It is one of the largest and oldest amusement park in India. It is a recreational park that gives a great experience to people of all ages. It also has an aqua park which is filled with lots of water ride and other activities. All the family members including kids can enjoy this park.

12. KAPALESHWARAR TEMPLE

If you visit this temple you get a glimpse of Tamil religious culture and beautiful architectural combinations of two styles – Dravidian and Vijayanagari . It is located in Mylapore, Chennai.
